Models have unique photographic needs. To be noticed requires really great pictures. Images of this quality and character are hard to come by. It takes a special cooperative spirit between model and photographer to achieve these special images. This cooperative approach to creating quality professional images is our preferred method for helping you get vibrant professional images.
We commonly start modeling sessions by holding an informal consultation at some public location away from our studios. This helps avoid work distractions and helps to establish a relaxed environment in which the model can explain his or her goals, and in which the model and photographer can work together to devise specific strategies to achieve those goals. This off-site session is generally held in a coffee shop, cafe, park or other public location and typically lasts about an hour. You are of course free to bring along anyone else you wish.
Following the consultation our staff returns to our studios and drafts a modeling session scenario. This defines the types of shots to be taken, props and locations to be used, any makeup or hair styling to be employed (we can recommend professionals for this work if you need such assistance), and the general goal of each photograph. To ensure that the model and photographer are working toward the same specific goals, we then forward this scenario to the model for review and comment. Once the model has returned these comments, a finalized version of the scenario is prepared and the modeling session is scheduled. The model will receive the finalized scenario prior to the modeling session so that any last minute changes can be considered prior to the session
The specific goals of the model normally dictate the poses and images to be produced, but there are some commonly requested images. These include close-up pictures of the face, head and shoulder images, and half to three-quarter body pictures. Full length images are also commonly requested.
We normally book a 90 minute portrait session for model images. This provides plenty of time for clothing changes and provides plenty of time for different lighting and posing options (current pricing). At the completion of the session the resulting images will be posted in a private online gallery for your review. The gallery is protected by an encrypted login and password so that only you (and our staff) can view the images. You will receive two free 8x10 prints that you can select from among any of the photo session images. If you require more than two prints then additional prints can be purchased separately. Please see our a la carte prints discussion for more information on individual print pricing.
Whatever your specific modeling goals may be, we are happy to work with you to see them come to fruition. Please feel free to contact us to further explore our modeling programs.
Our Modeling Release Program is designed to mutually benefit both the model and our company. It is a way for models to receive quality work images with no financial investment. The only investment required is your time.
Models who participate in this program are required to sign a model release for each photographic session. The model release gives us permission to use the resulting images in any manner we deem necessary to promote our business and generate revenues. The only other requirement is that models make themselves available in increments of at least one hour for photographic sessions. Many of these sessions occur on location. There is no fixed work schedule; we simply work together when our needs and schedules dictate.
This program offers a win-win situation for both the models and TNJ Photography. Models get professional images by investing only their time, and TNJ Photography gets quality modeled images to promote to advertisers.
